The much anticipated Telephone music video premiered yesterday to tons of eager little monsters! As you all know, I have a slight obsession with all things Gaga. Telephone def did not disappoint! Lady Gaga’s 9-minute campaign to prove that she doesn’t have a penis and to sell me stuff worked like magic! I love the fact that product placement wasn’t done in a “try to sneak it in” type of way…it was just like “Hey, you there, buy my Heartbeats headphones! Buy a Virgin Mobile phone! Get some Linda Farrow Mickey Mouse sunglasses!” and let’s not forget the “Beyonce will make a kick-ass Wonder Woman” reference!
The irony? Lady Gaga is so friggin’ awesome that she inspires HERSELF! Throw in a little Gossip Girl and other quirky pop culture references, and you got yourself a video! Check out the déjà vu moments:
