A statement on luxury goods and the economy?…or just plain ol’ Gaga badass? Lady Gaga arrived in Tokyo for the Japanese leg of her Fame Monster tour carrying the timeless status symbol: a Birkin bag. According to the Daily Mail, she Sharpie’d “I love little monster, Tokyo love” all over that pristine white Hermes (according to tokyo5, it actually says “I love small monster. Tokyo love” on her bag and “I love little monster” on her arm). This is the route Oprah should’ve taken…scribbled “F*ck your racist store” in Japanese all over a $5000 bag. Everyone would’ve just thought it was très chic.
