Hello Kitty is just one of my many obsessions. When I heard about the Hello Kitty collab w/ M.A.C., I wept tears of joy. So of course when I saw that Reebok and Hello Kitty teamed up for a collection, I was ecstatic (even though I don’t wear tennis shoes/sneakers). They are inspired by stuffed animals, and have HK’s iconic red bow on the upper corner on the left pair and are available in white, black and pink. Sadly, they are sold exclusively in Japan at Rakuten for about $150.
From little girls playing hop scotch in a pair of L.A. Gear’s light up sneakers to grown women playing the field in some seriously sexy Jimmy Choo ‘light up’ Zap Sandals ($2495). I am absolutely in LOVE with these! The downside is that the battery is designed to last for approximately 100 hours of constant, continuous use according to the website, but it cannot be replaced. I guess they still look hot without the light up effect. Rev Run’s daughter, Angela Simmons, is pictured above strutting in a pair. HAWT!!
Lucite, once thought only acceptable for old school pimps and strippers, has been slowly easing its way into the mainstream. Clear heels were spotted all over the runways in Milan, and now on Ms. Taylor Momsen. I know she’s taking a hiatus from Gossip Girl and all, and I haven’t heard her band “The Reckless”, but damn, Taylor, are times that hard?! Spotted wearing them during her Warped Tour performance, Taylor makes a bold statement in these clear heeled beauties that can be found at PleaserUSA.com. What else can I say but GET THEM DOLLARS, BITCH!
Shoe fiends worldwide will be mesmerized by the exquisitely crafted masterpieces that are Alexander McQueen’s Autumn/Winter 2010 Shoe Collection. The Angels and Demons inspired collection is translated through wings, polished leather and finished with metallic embroidery in gold and silver. Although demons may be the reason the young visionary is no longer with us, his final collection was nothing short of Heavenly.
